Della Terra - Hanna + Petr
After years of photographing and filming weddings at the Della Terra, no day has ever topped Hanna and Petr’s. My first time ever to this mountain chateau, the ground was covered in a light dusting of snow. The aspen tress were shedding the last of their beautiful fall yellow, and the pines held onto the white powder. I had to fly the drone. Luckily, this resort is fully private and drone flying is allowed on the premises. Rocky Mountain Park can be seen just over the horizon (only a stone throw form the Della Terra driveway).
I entered the bridal suite to see this stunning face and her party of girls getting their makeup and hair done. It was cozy inside with tons of light pouring in from the windows. My video camera immediately popped out of the bag before I could even say hello.
The guys were getting ready just around the corner in the media room. A huge projection screen with sports playing and the dude’s were just chillin.
What a relaxed crew! I knew today would be special. But I had now idea what a trooper Hanna would be. Although her dress was stunning, it was not built for such a winter day. Luckily, the Della Terra provides a heated ceremony gazebo and they couple was kept at comfortable temperatures all they way through their vows. What I was surprised with was Hanna’s positive pursuit for imagery after the “I do’s” We tromped out into the snow covered forest for some of the most epic photos and video coverage Estes Park has ever seen. I don’t think I’m exaggerating either.
Since Hanna and Petr’s wedding, I’ve shot several weddings at the Della Terra. This place has never disappointed. Check out some of my other video from this venue and please reach out if you would like me to shoot your wedding video or snap your photography. Until then, enjoy Hanna & Petr’s film. Cheers!
